Bio

Jon Vatnaland joined HitecVision in 2020 from the role as Executive Vice President at Statkraft, the largest generator of renewable power in Europe. He brings extensive knowledge of and experience with the utilities and power generation sector in Norway and Europe. Having been more than 11 years with Statkraft, Jon was involved in both strategic and business related transformations as well as M&A in the power generation sector. He was instrumental in building up Statkraft’s UK business where he held the position as managing director and led a number of renewable projects, in the context both of developments and transactions. Prior to Statkraft, Jon worked as a consultant at McKinsey. Jon holds a PhD in social studies from the University of Oslo and has been a research fellow at the University of Oslo and a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley.
