Sol started his career covering the financials subspace and broadened his coverage to include the consumer goods segment. The transition to private transactions is a natural extension of his work and leverages knowledge built over a career in the hedge fund industry. Most recently, Sol lead the European investment efforts at Nokota Management, a global multi strategy hedge fund. Previously, Sol was managing European long/short equity portfolios at several hedge funds including Folger Hill, Dabroes and Caxton. Over the years he has managed portfolios ranging between $350mn – $2bn in exposure size. During his tenure at Dabroes, where he was a founding partner, the firm was awarded the 2013 EuroHedge award for Top European Equity Hedge fund >$500mn. Sol’s primary coverage has been the financials subspace and has broadened out over the last 7 years to include consumer, retail, HPC, media and industrials. Sol started his career in investment banking at Salomon Smith Barney, where he was an analyst in the Technology group. He graduated with honors, with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University.
