Bio

Shreya joined HighPost Capital in July 2021 as a Vice President. She primarily focuses on investment due diligence, financial modeling, deal sourcing, and consumer sector thematic research. Prior to HighPost, Shreya worked at Alleghany Capital, the private equity investment arm of Alleghany Corporation (NYSE:Y). While at Alleghany Capital, she worked on sourcing, evaluating, and executing middle-market investments across a broad range of sectors with an emphasis on consumer, media, hospitality, business services, and industrials. She assisted with management of portfolio company operations, add-on acquisitions and refinancing transactions for Jazwares, Concord Hospitality, and Wilbert Funeral Services. Additionally, Shreya spearheaded Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy for Alleghany Capital, built reporting frameworks and templates for all Alleghany Capital portfolio companies and led the publication of the company’s inaugural ESG Report. In order to gain operating experience, Shreya interned at Walmart’s (NYSE:WMT) Online Grocery division during her MBA program and then joined the Pet team at Walmart eCommerce upon graduation. Prior to starting her MBA program, Shreya worked as an associate at Gridiron Capital, a leading middle-market private equity fund. At Gridiron, she executed the fund’s investments in Motion Recruitment Partners and Tokyo Joe’s, a dividend recapitalization for Performance Health and Wellness, and multiple add-on acquisitions for several portfolio companies. Shreya started her career at Barclays and then worked at Perella Weinberg Partners as an investment banking analyst focused on advising clients on M&A and restructuring transactions across a wide range of sectors. Shreya received a B.S. in Operations Research with a minor in Economics from Columbia University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
