Joe has been involved in private equity investing and mergers and acquisitions since 1986. Before founding HSC in 1996, he was a director at S.G. Warburg & Co., London, from 1993 to 1995 where he helped run operations and finance for Warburg’s international equity derivatives business which had over 200 employees around the globe. From 1991 to 1993, Joe was a Partner and Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer of KC-CO Investments, a Chicago-based equity index options market making business which he then helped sell to Warburg. Prior to that, Joe, worked in New York in mergers & acquisitions for an investment bank and following that, at a New York-based private equity firm. Joe is a 1986 graduate of Harvard University – Graduate School of Business with a master’s degree and a 1982 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a bachelor’s degree specializing in accounting. After passing the C.P.A. exam, he spent two years in public accounting with a Big 8 accounting firm in Chicago.
