At HSI since 2012, Mr. Alvarez oversees legal matters for the firm and portfolio companies. He leads the structuring of transactions including acquisitions, financing, and divestments. He is also responsible for direct the legal activities regarding the other company’s business units, such as REITs management, structured finance, securitization and mortgage-backed securities. Leading HSI’s legal team, Mr Alvarez has performed acquisition, divestment and financing operations in exceed of BRL 10 billion. Before joining HSI, Mr. Alvarez worked at Bracor Investimentos Imobiliários, structuring BRL 800 million in acquisitions and BRL 3 billion in divestments. At Gafisa, he structured real estate acquisitions worth BRL 600 million and the acquisition of a land bank with a potential sales value of over BRL 1 billion.
