Farrukh has been an Operating Partner at Headhaul Capital since 2016. He has over 25 years of industry, consulting and investment experience in the transportation and logistics industry, including the railroad, trucking, small parcel, last-mile, shipping, freight forwarding and air cargo sectors and to both public and private sector clients. He is currently the Chief Strategy Officer of CSX Corporation, one of the country’s largest Class 1 railroads. Prior to joining CSX, he was the Founder and Managing Partner of Lynwood Partners, a leading transportation and logistics strategic advisory firm. Prior to founding Lynwood, Farrukh was a Partner at The Clarendon Group and at Oliver Wyman Consulting and a Principal in Booz Allen Hamilton’s Global Transportation Practice where he led their North American Maritime Practice. Prior to Booz Allen, Farrukh was a Principal in A.T. Kearney’s Transportation Strategy Practice, where he led engagements across the spectrum of the transportation and logistics space for corporate and private equity clients. Early in his career, Farrukh worked in various sales and marketing positions with The Atchison Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad and as a financial analyst at Chase Manhattan Bank. Farrukh received a BA in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University and an MBA in Management, Marketing and Transportation from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
