Mr. Nelson is a Managing Director at HCI Equity Partners, focusing on the diligence, acquisition and management of our portfolio companies. Current portfolio companies that he is actively involved with include Dynamic Systems, Inc., Naumann/Hobbs Material Handling, Inc., Power and Composite Technologies, Inc., CertifiedSafety, Inc, Tribar Manufacturing, Adept Plastic Finishing and Commercial Steel Treating Corporation. Prior to joining HCI Equity, Mr. Nelson worked at Hidden Creek Industries. During his time there, Mr. Nelson worked closely with its portfolio companies including Automotive Industries, Tower Automotive and Commercial Vehicle Group. Mr. Nelson assisted in completing over 50 acquisitions and in securing debt financing totaling more than $2 billion. He was also integrally involved in taking four companies public during his tenure there. Prior to joining Hidden Creek Industries, Mr. Nelson spent ten years in the Accounting and Advisory Group of Arthur Andersen & Co. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Winona State University.
