Michael F. Bonnet has 20 years of corporate finance and private equity investment experience. During this time he has been involved with more than 75 businesses in diverse capacities in a wide range of industries including banking, distribution, healthcare, insurance, leisure and entertainment, media and telecommunications, restaurants, retail and services. In 2002 he co-founded HB Equity Partners. From 1986 to 1991, Mike was a member of GE Capital's Merchant Banking Group. During this period, he was actively involved in the formation of the Financial Institutions Group within GE as well as in some of the Group's initial transactions, including Life Re and Life Partners Group. While at GE Capital, he also created, executed and managed strategies for the restructuring of several large, nonperforming leveraged buyout investments including Patrick Media, Casablanca Fan Company and Del Taco. Mike was a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers' Financial Advisory Group for two years where he provided operational, strategic and financial advice to management teams, buyout firms, and creditors/lenders specializing in turnaround management, and operational and financial restructurings. He was focused on a broad range of industries, including apparel, electronics, manufacturing and retail. Mike joined CPCG in 1995 and co-managed the development and execution of the company's private equity investment strategy. He was involved in originating, structuring, executing, monitoring and exiting portfolio company investments. He also either led or was involved with private equity investments in Brandywine Senior Care, Gameworks, Hoosier Park, Maxima Technologies & Systems, Mojave Resort Golf Club, Noble Broadcast and Tritel. He is currently on the MES board of directors. Mike received his M.B.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business and his B.S. in Economics from Fordham University.
