Andrew W. Hubregsen has been actively involved in corporate finance and private equity investing for 20 years. During this time he has led or participated in over 45 leveraged buyouts in a wide variety of industries including distribution, manufacturing, media and telecommunications, retail, services and transportation. In 2002 he co-founded HB Equity Partners. From 1985 to 1992, Andy was a member of GE Capital's Merchant Banking Group focusing on leveraged debt and equity transactions. During this period, he held positions in the general transaction, retail, financial institutions and workout groups. He originated approximately $350 million of successful leveraged buyout financings as well as worked on several GE Capital corporate acquisition teams including Westinghouse Credit, various RTC portfolios, Gold Dome Bank, First Executive and Royal Trust Co. In 1992, Andy joined Conseco, Inc., to develop the company's private capital investment effort, CPCG, and to assist with corporate acquisition activity. During that period he participated in five insurance company acquisition efforts. He also either led or was involved with private equity investments in Advent Communications & Entertainment, Argosy Casino & Hotel, Eaglemark Credit, Falls Management, Maxima Technologies & Systems, Noble Broadcast, Orchid International, Bentgrass at Cordillera, Brandywine Senior Care, Capitated Healthcare, Mountain Star and The General Motors Building. Andy has sat on 12 boards. He is currently on the board of directors of Advent Communications & Entertainment and Maxima Technologies & Systems. Andy received his M.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame and his B.A. in Business Administration from St. Michael's College.
