Bio

Mr. Kranz joined the firm in 2012. As a Director in the Asset Management group, he is responsible for monitoring investment performance, managing operating partner relationships, and executing on strategic refinances, workouts, recapitalizations, and dispositions for the firm’s healthcare strategies. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mr. Kranz was an analyst at Duff & Phelps within the Real Estate Services Group where he performed various valuation services for financial reporting, refinancing, litigation, and mergers & acquisitions. Prior thereto, he interned at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board in the Real Estate Group where he updated and analyzed quarterly investment reports, evaluated debt maturities, and researched portfolio capital commitments. Mr. Kranz holds a BBA with a double major in Finance, Investment & Banking and Real Estate & Urban Land Economics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison. He is an active member of the Wisconsin Real Estate Alumni Association.
