Ms. Smith joined the firm in 2020. As a Vice President in the Asset Management group, she is responsible for the oversight of financial performance, execution of investment strategy and management of operator relationships across seniors housing. Additionally, Ms. Smith participates in the underwriting and evaluation process for healthcare real estate investments. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Ms. Smith was a Director of Asset Management at Ventas, Inc., where she was responsible for the management of over 200 seniors housing properties. Ms. Smith focused on operator relationships, financial performance, capital budgeting, and portfolio strategy and optimization efforts. Prior to Ventas, Ms. Smith was an Associate at Arsenal Venture Partners in Orlando, FL, where she evaluated investment opportunities for the firm’s various investment funds. Ms. Smith began her career as a Financial Analyst in the High Yield Fixed Income department at Banc of America Securities in New York. Ms. Smith holds a BS in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College. She serves on the Executive Board of the ULI Chicago Women’s Leadership Initiative.
