Ms. Hickey-Mehic joined the firm in 2020. As a Vice President in the Investment Accounting group, she is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and usability of property-level financial data. In addition, she is responsible for establishing and implementing related best practices in coordination with Asset Management, Portfolio Accounting & Reporting, Portfolio Management, Investor Relations, and operating partners. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Ms. Hickey-Mehic was at The Siegfried Group where she provided clients with interim assistance on a variety of critical projects. Prior to this, Ms. Hickey-Mehic was a Senior Analyst at Walton Street Capital where she focused on quarterly and annual financial statements and related workpapers for GAAP, UNAV, and tax reporting related to a variety of real estate investments. Ms. Hickey-Mehic started her career at KPMG (Louisville and Chicago) in the consumer products practice. Ms. Hickey-Mehic received her MBA and Post Baccalaureate in Accounting from Bellarmine University and her BS in Biology from The University of Louisville. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois, a Microsoft Excel Expert, and a Six Sigma Yellow Belt. Ms. Hickey-Mehic is member of the Auxiliary Board of the Shedd Aquarium and the Chairman’s Council of The Big Shoulders Fund; a non-profit focused on providing support to inner-city schools.
