Ms. Tokheim joined the firm in 2019. As a Director in the Portfolio Accounting & Reporting group, she is responsible for overseeing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Statutory Accounting Principles. She leads the implementation of new accounting standards, including assessment of financial and operational impact on the organization. Ms. Tokheim is also responsible for optimizing the established internal control environment in accordance with applicable reporting standards. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Ms. Tokheim was an Audit Senior Manager at KPMG LLP in San Francisco, where she served publicly listed clients in a variety of industries. Within her eight year career at KPMG, Ms. Tokheim worked two of the years in the KPMG London office where she primarily served clients in the investment management sector. Ms. Tokheim holds a BS in Commerce, Accounting with a minor in International Business from Santa Clara University. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
