Mr. Dandrea joined the firm in 2018. As a Director in the Asset Management group, he is responsible for the strategic management of a portfolio of off-campus and on-campus (public-private partnership) student housing investments spanning the firm’s US open- and closed-end funds. Working closely with the Transactions group, Mr. Dandrea participates in the underwriting of potential investments with the partner relationships he manages, then oversees the business plan execution of those investments. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mr. Dandrea was the head of asset management for Aspen Heights Partners, a student housing/multifamily developer and operator. At Aspen Heights, Mr. Dandrea led the team responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the firm’s portfolio, including refinancing and disposition activity, along with all investor communication and reporting. Prior to Aspen Heights, Mr. Dandrea held a senior asset management position for a real estate private equity firm, where he was the asset manager for the firm’s student housing and workforce multifamily investments and the portfolio manager for a discretionary student housing-focused opportunistic fund vehicle. He has fifteen years of real estate asset management and development experience. Mr. Dandrea holds a BS in Finance from Penn State University.
