Bio

Mr. Sokol joined the firm in 2016. As Director & Associate General Counsel, he advises Harrison Street on all facets of its business, including fund formation, transaction structuring, acquisitions, dispositions, and asset management. He also sits on the firm’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion committee. Prior to joining Harrison Street, Mr. Sokol was an Associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in New York, where he represented developers, buyers, sellers, tenants, and sovereign wealth funds in connection with joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and mergers. Mr. Sokol received a BA from Emory University and a JD, cum laude, from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. He is a member of the Bar in New York and Illinois.
