Bio

Peter Wilson joined HarbourVest’s London team in 1996 and is one of two members of the Firm’s Executive Management Committee. He previously led secondary investment activity in Europe and has served on the advisory committees for partnerships managed by Baring Vostok Capital Partners, CVC Capital Partners, Holtzbrinck Ventures, and Index Venture Management. Peter is a director of HarbourVest Global Private Equity Limited (HVPE), a listed investment company. He also served as Founding Chair of the Board of Trustees of City Year UK Limited. Prior to joining the Firm, he spent three years working for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where he originated and managed two regional venture capital funds in Russia. Peter also spent two years at The Monitor Company, a strategy consulting firm based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He received a BA (with honours) from McGill University in 1985 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1990. Peter speaks German and French.
