Cartus Chan joined HarbourVest in 2016 and focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring direct co-investments in Asia. Cartus joined the Firm from Baring Private Equity Asia, where he was a senior associate focused on deals in the consumer, industrial, and healthcare sectors in China. His prior experience also includes an investment banking analyst position at Goldman Sachs in the Technology, Media, and Telecom group. Cartus received a BS in Quantitative Finance from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2008 and an MBA (with honors) from the University of Chicago in 2015. He speaks fluent Cantonese and Mandarin.
