Alexander Mackinger joined HarbourVest in 2014 and currently focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring direct co-investments in Europe. He began his career on the Firm’s secondary team, where he focused on analyzing, structuring, and monitoring secondary private equity opportunities, including traditional and complex transactions. Alex joined the Firm from Jefferies LLC, where he was an investment banking analyst in the Business Services and Global Industrials Groups. Alex received a BA from Bucknell University in 2008 and a JD from Boston University School of Law in 2011. Alex is fluent in German and speaks conversational Spanish.
