Bio

Matthew was a founding partner of Hanover and leads deal execution and active management. Prior to becoming a principal investor, Matthew ran the International M&A team in London for Barclays DeZoete Wedd in 1989, having previously worked in New York for Credit Suisse First Boston. During the 1990s, Matthew led a series of three successful LBO turnarounds, acting as CEO in each case, adding a 10 year experience base in company operations to his training as a lawyer and career as a senior banker. Matthew has since led investments, and served on the boards of companies, in the services, textiles, consulting, logistics and technology sectors. He has a Masters degree in Law from Cambridge University.
