Gert Jan has founded H2 in 1991 together with his long time friend Age Hollander. Gert Jan had graduated from his studies at the Delft University of Technology and the Rotterdam School of Management. After his graduations Gert Jan joined McKinsey & Company to work in The Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. At McKinsey Gert Jan managed the world wide company diagnostic approach. Gert Jan has built-up the H2 team and has introduced the firm's strong focus on operational value add, including several of the firm's approaches. He is Chairman of the Investment Committee of H2. Gert Jan's passion is to indeed build better companies. The areas of his knowledge include consumer goods (Lunch Garden), manufacturing (Eska Graphic Board and Meijn), wholesale and distribution (Smartwares).
