Bio

Scott is a Managing Director and Co-Head of H.I.G. Growth Partners and is based in the San Francisco office. As Co-Head, he shares responsibility for all the day-to-day activities of H.I.G. Growth Partners, H.I.G.’s dedicated growth equity fund. Scott has almost two decades of experience investing in venture capital and private equity transactions, and focuses on SaaS software, consumer Internet, marketplaces, digital media, tech-enabled business services, and consumer product investments. Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2018, Scott was a Partner with Revolution and a Managing Director with Steamboat Ventures. Before that, he was a Senior Associate at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners. Scott has led or co-led over 30 investments in technology, media, software, and consumer companies, and has been a board member for many industry-leading companies; including BigCommerce, EdgeCast, Elemental, Handy, MediaOcean, SpareFoot, and Quigo. Scott has extensive operating experience, and has held strategy, business development, engineering and manufacturing positions at IBM, LaSalle Partners, and Synopsis. Scott graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude with a B.S.M.E. degree from the University of Washington and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
