Rodrigo is a Managing Director based in H.I.G. Capital´s Rio de Janeiro office. Rodrigo is responsible for investment sourcing, transaction negotiation, and portfolio company value creation and has more than 14 years of experience and 23 transactions concluded in the Private Equity space in Brazil. Since joining H.I.G. Capital’s Brazil and Latin America Group in 2013 and throughout his career, Rodrigo worked directly with investments, monitoring and divestments in several sectors, including: information technology, consumer services, business process outsourcing, retail, internet, media, real estate and healthcare. Currently, Rodrigo serves on the board of directors of Grupo NZN, Selfit Academias, Eletromidia and Grupo Meridional. Prior to joining H.I.G. Capital, Rodrigo co-founded Agroshop, a start-up focused on selling agribusiness related product located in the mid-west of Brazil. Pior to that, Rodrigo worked for 5 years as a private equity professional at Patria Investimentos, a firm backed by Blackstone in Latin America. While at Patria, Rodrigo led or participated in 15 transactions, including two of the most successful investments of the firm: Tivit and Grupo Bioritmo. Before Patria, Rodrigo worked as a management associate at Citibank in the Corporate and Investment Banking division. Rodrigo holds an M.B.A. from INSEAD (Singapore/France), a Bachelor in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EAESP-FGV) with an extension from Vysoka Skola Ekonomicka of Prague and a Bachelor in Law from Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Born in Brazil, Rodrigo is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
