Bio

Matt is a Principal based in H.I.G.’s Miami office. He is responsible for all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, transaction structuring, financing, and implementation of post-closing growth, operational, and add-on acquisition strategies. Matt has private equity experience across a variety of industries, with a focus on government services, aerospace & defense, industrial services, and chemicals. Matt’s experience in private equity and M&A spans over a decade. Prior to joining H.I.G. in 2017, he worked for Morgenthaler Private Equity, an operationally focused middle market private equity firm based in Boston. Matt began his career at Piper Sandler in the M&A group. Matt earned his M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his undergraduate degree from Duke University where he was a Benjamin N. Duke Scholar.
