Ed is a Managing Director based in H.I.G.’s New York office and co-leads the firm’s Infrastructure activities. Prior to joining H.I.G., Ed was a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co. Ed worked at Goldman Sachs for 19 years in a variety of capacities, including in the Telecom, Media and Technology group in Investment Banking, and, most recently, as head of the Americas at Goldman Sachs’ Infrastructure fund. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ed served as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Ed earned a B.A. from Harvard College, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, and a D.Phil. from Oxford University, with honors, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
