Mark Hsu joined H&QAP in 2001 as Managing Director and is responsible for the firm's regional private equity team. Prior to joining H&QAP, Mark Hsu was Director of Business Development for Sina.com and attorney with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett where he focused on securities and M&A transactions in the hedge fund and private equity industry, principally working with The Blackstone Group. Mark Hsu received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and his Juris Doctor from Columbia University. Mr. Hsu has served on the boards of various companies, including Roly International, Linmark Group (HKSE: 0915), and GoRemote Communications (acquired by iPass), as well as The Churchill Club, AAMA, East West Players, NAATA and Vision New America. Mr. Hsu was also founding Vice Chair of the Asian Pacific Islander American Leadership Council at the Democratic National Committee in 2004.
