James joined Greenridge in 2013 and as a Vice President is involved in all aspects of the firm’s investment activities. James started his career as an investment banker at Harris Williams & Co., where working with middle-market private equity firms and founder-owned businesses sparked his interest in lower middle-market investing. Having grown up in Jacksonville Florida, James thrives in warm weather and jumped at the opportunity to work in private equity in Texas. Outside the office, you will find James spending time with his wife Michelle, their daughter, and their dog Bella. He enjoys getting outside with his family, cooking for friends, learning about wine, and suffering every football season as a dedicated Vanderbilt and Jacksonville Jaguars fan. He can occasionally be found struggling to become a serviceable golfer in hopes of one day keeping up with Jack and Ben. James also spends time supporting local non-profits by serving on the board of the Austin Sunshine Camps and as Board Chair for PelotonU, a college completion non-profit serving working adults.
