Todd is the Managing Partner at Great River Capital Partners (GRCP) and co-founded the firm in 2020. He is responsible for all aspects of firm management, evaluating new industrial technology investments, interfacing with investors and partners, and providing oversight and assistance to portfolio companies. Prior to launching GRCP, Todd had 20 years of private equity and direct investing experience. Most recently he was a Partner and member of the Investment Committee at JMC Capital Partners, which focused on lower market industrial companies. Before JMC, Todd was a Partner at Symmetric Capital and Ampersand Capital Partners, having started his private equity career at Summit Partners in the late 1990s. Todd’s past experience has included a mix of traditional expansion financings, recapitalizations and leveraged buyouts, with most of his prior work in the industrial manufacturing and technology sectors. Representative prior investments and Directorships include: Sybari Software (acquired by Microsoft), MediaQ (purchased by NVIDIA), K-TEK (acquired by ABB Group), ChanTest (acquired by Charles River Laboratories), Biomedical Structures (merged with Confluent Medical), and Source Code (acquired by Cerberus Capital). Todd holds a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in Economics from Bates College, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He lives in Wayland, MA with his wife and four children, and spends weekends whenever possible on Great River in Mashpee, MA (Cape Cod).
