Hideaki Horiuchi is Representative Director & President of Gordon Brothers Japan responsible for managing the firm’s strategy and operations. Hideaki has over 30 years’ experience in corporate finance, including asset-based lending, loan restructuring and dispositions, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Japan, he was an executive director at GE Capital Japan and expanded the financial services division’s asset-based lending platform. Hideaki previously held several roles at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, including joint general manager leading private equity fund investments. Before that, he was deputy general manager of the multinational banking and financial services institution’s U.S.-based specialized finance department. Hideaki has a Bachelor of Economics from Kyoto University and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Nagoya University of Commerce & Business. He is the author of the M&A Forum’s award-winning novel Stake Holder. Hideaki is based in Tokyo.
