Mr. Van Geyzel is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Good Springs Capital, which launched in 2023. He was previously the Co-Founder and President & CEO of Alleghany Capital, from 2013 to 2023. While at Alleghany Capital, he was a member of the board of directors of Alleghany Capital and its eight portfolio companies: (i) Concord Hospitality; (ii) IPS-Integrated Project Services; (iii) Jazwares; (iv) Kentucky Trailer; (v) Piedmont Manufacturing; (vi) Precision Cutting Technologies; (vii) W&W|AFCO Steel Steel; and (viii) Wilbert Funeral. Prior to co-founding Alleghany Capital Corporation in 2013, Mr. Van Geyzel was a Vice President at Alleghany Capital Partners LLC, Alleghany Corporation’s public and private capital investment group, which he joined in 2007. Prior to joining Alleghany Corporation, Mr. Van Geyzel was an investment professional at Copper Arch Capital LLC and Brown Brothers Harriman’s 1818 Mezzanine Funds, L.P. Before Brown Brothers Harriman, Mr. Van Geyzel worked in UBS Warburg LLC’s Leveraged Finance Group. Mr. Van Geyzel graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in both History and Economics. He holds an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
