Michael Chung is Chief Investment Officer of Glenwood Private Equity and a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Chung co-founded Glenwood and has been actively involved in all phases of Glenwood’s private equity development since its founding. Prior to Glenwood, Mr. Chung worked at William Blair in Chicago, where he assumed a role as Vice President in the Special Situations and Restructuring Group. Before William Blair, he worked as an investment banker at Rothschild & Co in New York in the Restructuring Group. His distressed transaction and investment advisory experience covers a wide range of industries, including retail, electronics manufacturing and automotives. Mr. Chung also served as an Air Force officer at the Ministry of National Defense of Republic of Korea, where he assisted the Vice Minister in sensitive negotiations with foreign ministers and chiefs of defense. Mr. Chung previously served on the boards of Haeyang Energy, Seorabeol City Gas, Hankuk Glass Industries, and PI Advanced Materials, and currently servces on the board of Invitros. Mr. Chung received a B.B.A. from Korea University, and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is a Captain of the Republic of Korea Air Force Reserve.
