Kevin Looi is Head of Asia, Private Equity (PE) at GIC. In this role, Kevin oversees PE direct investments, as well as funds and co-investments across the Asia Pacific region. Kevin is a member of GIC’s HR Committee and serves as a board member for Starbucks Korea, Sunway Healthcare, and Virtusa Corporation. Kevin joined GIC in 2008 and has worked in several roles in the PE department. Prior to his current appointment, Kevin led the Funds & Co-Investments Group in the Americas, as well as the Special Opportunities Group. While in the United States, Kevin also served as Head of GIC’s San Francisco office. Before his experience in the United States, Kevin worked in GIC’s London and Singapore offices. Earlier in his career, Kevin worked at Bain & Company in Singapore and also spent time in a business development role at a technology start-up in the United States. Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science in Operations Research, and a Master of Business Administration (with distinction) from Stanford University.
