John Hawkins is a Co-Founder and has been a Managing Partner of Generation Partners since 1996 and operates out of the firm’s Los Angeles office. Prior to Generation, John was a Partner of Burr, Egan, Deleage & Co., a venture capital firm from 1987 to 1996, and prior to that, he worked at Alex Brown & Sons from 1986 to 1987 and Woodman, Kirkpatrick & Gilbreath from 1982 to 1984. John currently serves on the board of directors of several Generation portfolio companies and has previously served on the boards of directors of many other private or publicly traded companies. He is a past officer and member of Young Presidents’ Organization. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
