David Perl is a Managing Director of Investment at Generate Capital. He is responsible for originating, executing, and managing investments. David has over 17 years across principal investment, merchant, investment banking, and project development. Prior to Generate, David was a senior investment professional at the Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCO), one of the largest Canadian institutional investors. He was responsible for over $2 Billion in corporate investments across the power, transportation, waste, and water sectors. David’s career began in the M&A department at BMO Capital Markets, and then worked at Macquarie and Babcock & Brown where he focused on infrastructure related investments. David has a BSc. in Biology from the University of Toronto and a MSc. in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics where he graduated with the highest level of distinction.
