Ravdeep Chanana is a Managing Director and a member of the Investment Committee at Gemspring Capital. Prior to Gemspring, Rav was an executive at General Electric with experience working across eight countries and four different multi-billion dollar industrial and financial services business units. His most recent role was CFO of GE Additive, a new business unit within GE Aviation comprised of two strategic acquisitions completed in 2016. In this role, Rav was responsible for providing financial and operational leadership to drive the integration of the acquired companies. Prior to GE Additive, Rav was CFO of GE Aviation’s engineering organization and led a global finance team of ~70 employees where he was responsible for providing strategic and financial leadership for the ~$3 billion of annual research & development budget and ~8,000-person engineering organization. Rav began his career in GE’s Financial Management Program. He completed roles in Corporate Finance, GE Capital headquarters, and GE Corporate Investor Relations. Rav then joined GE’s Corporate Audit Staff, ultimately progressing to Executive Audit Manager responsible for GE Aviation, a $25 billion revenue business segment, and the Services Council, supporting a GE Vice Chairman in driving best practices and processes across all of GE’s services businesses. Rav serves on the boards of AMPAM, Carr & Duff, JTI, and Shrieve Chemical Company. In addition, Rav was formerly a board member of Radancy and Therma Holdings. Rav received a BS in Finance and Accounting from Fairfield University.
