Bio

Mr. Wesson joined Galen in 1991 after serving as a Senior Vice President and Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Division at Smith Barney, where he worked for over 23 years. During his tenure at Smith Barney, Mr. Wesson directed the Major Account Group and was Senior Managing Director in charge of the East Coast region. Mr. Wesson was also Chairman of the Valuation and Opinion Committee for Corporate Finance. In this capacity, he was ultimately responsible for all of the valuation and opinions given by Smith Barney. Mr. Wesson currently serves on the Board of Directors of MedAssets (Vice Chairman), Derma Sciences, Acura Pharmaceuticals, and TPS. Mr. Wesson is a past trustee of Colgate University for nine years and had served as President of Colgate’s Alumni Corporation Board of Directors. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of the Overlook Hospital Foundation. He earned a B.A. from Colgate University and a M.B.A. from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business.
