As a Vice President on our investment team, Matt spends a significant portion of his time meeting with software CEOs and founders to better understand the opportunities in front of their business. He enjoys hearing about their ambitions for growth and to see whether we may be a good fit in helping them achieve their goals. Back in the office, Matt splits his time between working with our teams assessing potential investments and working with our portfolio companies on key strategic initiatives such as building out additional capabilities and evaluating add-on M&A opportunities. Matt loves the partnership aspect of growth equity, really getting to understand where a business wants to go and then building an ecosystem around it to help accelerate that growth. The way he sees it, success comes from the right combination of business performance, smart collaboration, and maintaining focus on the end customer. When he does get time to relax (which with two kids isn’t too often), you’ll find Matt playing fetch with his dog, Kenan, spending time at his family’s lake house, or making progress on his long list of home improvement projects.
