Cory Bennett joined Formation Capital in 2015. Cory manages the acquisitions and business development team at Formation Capital in addition to providing senior level investment strategy and asset management leadership. Throughout his tenure at Formation Capital, Cory has been involved in all aspects of the firm’s investments from origination to disposition, including portfolio strategy, cultivating investor and lender relationships, managing cross-functional teams to maximize investor returns, ROI projects, budget and forecasting and reporting. Cory has completed more than $1.2 billion in transactions since 2018. Cory has been active in finance and lending for more than 16 years, spending nine years at Wells Fargo Bank and Wachovia Bank where he provided project financing solutions and enterprise level debt and structured products to the largest homebuilders and residential developers in North America. Cory received an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and a BS in Global Economics and Modern Language with a focus in Spanish from Georgia Institute of Technology.
