Mr. Friedman is the managing partner and founder of Five by Five Capital, LLC. Prior to the inception of Five By Five Capital, LLC, Mr. Friedman managed mergers and acquisitions as the Vice President of Corporate Development for Loews Corporation (NYSE: L). Mr. Friedman has also served as Director in the Corporate Strategy and Development Group at United Technologies Corporation (NYSE: UTX). In this role, he managed mergers and acquisitions across all of UTC’s business units with a primary focus on Aerospace & Defense, working with Pratt & Whitney, Hamilton Sundstrand, and Sikorsky Aircraft. His responsibilities included sourcing, managing, and negotiating all aspects of mergers and aquisitions for multi-million and multi-billion dollar transactions, including the most recent acquisition of Goodrich. Prior to joining UTC, Mr. Friedman was a partner at Oliver Wyman Consulting (formerly Mercer Management Consulting) in the Aerospace & Defense Practice, and was a professional airline pilot for US Airways. Mr. Friedman received his B.S. in Geology from Bates College and holds an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He also serves on the MBA Advisory Board of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. Mr. Friedman lives in Vermont with his wife and three children.
