Bio

Rafael has over 20 years of experience in the financial services sector across consumer finance, asset management, personal financial management, banks and insurance and has worked with prestigious private equity firms throughout his career. Rafael is currently serving as Chief Transformation Officer at FSC investment Ufasa. Previously, he spent more than 15 years in various senior roles at Banco Santander including Chief of Staff to the Group Chairman for eight years. He also held several Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Development roles during which time he closed more than 20 M&A deals on behalf of the bank. As an angel investor, Rafael invested in Lucania Gestion, an unsecured debt servicing company, and played an active role in the company’s growth strategy, contributing to 14x times growth in value in four years. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, France and a degree in International Business from ICADE, Spain.
