Barrett leads the day to day at Factor89. Barrett has spent his career building and growing businesses using disciplines and methodologies learned from consulting, entrepreneurship and fund management. From 2004 to present he was one of four partners of CapX Partners LLC. CapX was a private debt fund which invested over $650 Million in three separate funds financed by high-net worth, institutional investors and the US Small Business Administration. He was responsible for fund management, a member of the investment committee, and served on several boards in which the fund took equity positions. Prior to Factor89 he was the President of Accord Equipment Finance as well as the SVP of Corporate Development at Accord Financial Corporate. As SVP he was responsible for marketing and the strategy and implementation of products, partnerships and business development. Barrett has been a partner at Capital Concepts Holdings LLC since 2003 investing in lower-middle market special purpose investments. Prior to the investment world, Barrett worked in consulting, starting at Andersen Consulting and culminating with Waterstone Consulting. Barrett helped grow Waterstone from it’s beginnings to it’s sale. Barrett brings strategy, design and organization to the entities in which he works. He is a graduate of the University of Illinois and lives in the western suburbs of Chicago.
