Bio

With F2i since July 2021, Massimo is Partner of the Debt Investment Team. He has more than 15 years of experience in infrastructure debt transactions of different nature (corporate, acquisition, project finance), acting as arranger, lender and advisor, both in Italy and abroad and covering a wide spectrum of segments such as transportation, regulated utilities, renewables, power and public services. Overall, he has closed more than 50 structured transactions for a cumulated value of ca. €21bn. Before joining F2i, he was Executive Director in the Lending and Structured Finance team of Mediobanca, responsible for a loan book with exposures towards the key National infrastructure players as well as European infrastructure companies owned by equity infrastructure funds, and in charge of arranging and executing for them all the lending products (both corporate and structured loans, including ESG loans). From 2015 to 2018 he was Responsible for Infrastructure Finance in the Leverage & Acquisition Finance team of Mediobanca, working for both the Milan and London branch, with a focus on structuring financing packages to support the acquisition (including in relation to minority stakes) by leading equity infrastructure funds of major European infrastructure assets, as well as in the context of capex financing or refinancing transactions. From 2006 to 2014 he contributed, as deputy head, to the set-up of Mediobanca’s Project Finance team, dealing with origination, advisory, structuring and portfolio management activities, for both Italian and European deals. He has a master degree in Management Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano.
