Bio

John Thomas has a background as a chartered accountant and worked for Ernst & Young (now EY) in the period 1984 to 1997 both in audit departments at home and abroad and in the corporate finance department in Copenhagen. In 1997, John Thomas joined the IT distributor EET Group as CFO and was promoted to Group CEO in the year 2000. Throughout the twenty years at the EET Group, John Thomas and his management team transformed the EET Group from a small Nordic niche distributor in the four Nordic countries to one of Europe's most successful IT distributors with local offices in 21 countries. Under John Thomas' leadership, the EET group experienced annual double-digit organic growth rates due to continuous development of the product portfolio, building up of new business areas, In addition to strong organic growth, the EET Group has been very acquisitive, thus John Thomas has successfully completed more than 50 acquisitions of European companies. John Thomas has carried out virtually all types of acquisitions, from small, simple local companies to international companies with complex structures, and he is known for his ability to find solutions that can "build a bridge" between the seller's and the buyer's expectations. Throughout John Thomas' twenty years of work, he has worked under the ownership of four different capital funds and has thus been heavily involved in the sale processes of the EET group, the three times the group has been sold over the past twenty years. Likewise, John Thomas has considerable experience in working under capital funds' requirements for their portfolio companies. When you ask employees in the EET Group about John Thomas, you often hear about his very positive and inspiring management style as well as his deep commitment and ability to create a "winning culture", where every employee works committed to the common goals. In the autumn of 2017, John Thomas resigned from his role as group CEO and is now part of the group's board of directors. In addition, John Thomas has sat on the board of Klokkerholm Karosseridele, just as he currently sits on the board of the capital fund-owned company Creativ Company.
