Bio

For more than 20 years, Jacob has dealt with management, strategy and business development, turn-around and organizational adaptations primarily within the healthcare and energy sectors. Jacob has a Master's degree in mercantile law. from the Copenhagen Business School, and started his career as a consultant at McKinsey & Co. in 1998. in both Copenhagen and Malaysia. After this, in 2003 he was employed at DONG (now Ørsted) with responsibility for strategy. In 2005, he joined as COO of the Axcel-owned company, Ellipse, which develops, manufactures and distributes light and laser equipment within aesthetic medicine worldwide. After being promoted to CEO in 2007, he and the rest of the management bought the company out of Axcel in 2010. Ellipse grew to become one of the leading European players in the industry with a global network of distributors and own sales companies in main markets in Europe. In September 2018, Jacob sold the company to the largest American competitor and left the company in September 2019. Today, Jacob is also chairman of the board of the cleantech company MicroShade, which i.a. is owned by Vækstfonden and a number of Dutch venture funds. Jacob joined Executive Capital in 2020.
