Bio

Scott Barry joined EW in 2006 to help build the growth equity practice and became Managing Director in 2012. Mr. Barry has led and served on the Board of Directors of a number of EW growth equity portfolio companies including Orthovita (acquired by Stryker), Victory Pharma (acquired by Shionogi) and Velcera (acquired by Perrigo). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of EW portfolio companies Breg, Metabolon, and Venus Concept. Prior to joining EW, Mr. Barry worked at Novartis Pharma AG where he most recently served as the Global Head of Pharma M&A and Collaborations. He was responsible for global acquisitions, equity investments and corporate partnerships across therapeutic areas. Prior to joining Novartis, Mr. Barry was a Director for Century Capital Associates LLC, a boutique healthcare investment bank and consulting firm, where he focused on mergers & acquisitions, strategic partnering and financing transactions. Previously, he held positions at KPMG LLP in their healthcare corporate finance and assurance services groups. Mr. Barry has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University and a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University.
