Dean has focused on private equity investments across a variety of industries as a Managing Director with Novitas Capital since 1998. He has led investments in and served as Chairman, Director or Observer of over 20 companies. Dean is currently Chairman of Cernostics. Dean also serves as President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT), a premier resource for emerging growth. He has extensive operating experience with both large and small companies including Adaptiv Learning Systems and the Chubb Group, where he held a variety of senior management positions. Dean is Vice Chairman of Wharton Private Equity Partners, an international alumni organization (www.wpen.org). BA in Business Administration and Psychology from Franklin and Marshall College and MBA with distinction from the Wharton School.
