Richard Fienberg joined Ethos in 2011 and is responsible for ensuring operational performance at investee companies in order to enhance Value Creation across the portfolio. Richard has been instrumental in establishing a dedicated team of operating professionals and affirming Ethos’ value-add capabilities. Prior to joining Ethos, Richard spent over 20 years at BP group where he held several senior organisation leadership roles and directorships within the BP group of companies. During his time there, he performed numerous strategic roles at both company and industry level including optimising the retail asset portfolio across eleven markets in Europe, responsibility for all sales and marketing activities in South Africa and leading the South African retail business, ensuring the business outperformed its competitors. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal and an MBA from University of the Witwatersrand.
