Bio

Anthonie is the Managing Partner of Ethos’ large equity funds (Ethos Fund V & Fund VI) and sits on our Executive Committee. He joined Ethos in 2002 and has developed extensive experience across the private equity value chain and has been involved in deal sourcing, execution, restructuring, monitoring or disposals of multiple Ethos investments. He held deal-lead responsibilities at the Dunlop Group, Kevro, Idwala, Tsebo, Alexander Forbes and Plumblink; he led Ethos Fund VI’s investment into Primedia and RTT Group. Prior to joining Ethos, he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers llc for five years, two of which were spent in New York in the corporate value consulting division. Anthonie holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with honours) from the University of Johannesburg and is a member of SAICA.
