Bio

Seamus joined the Equitix Investment Team in 2019 to focus on both greenfield and secondary infrastructure investments. He has over 20 years of experience developing and financing greenfield infrastructure projects across a wide range of markets and sectors. Prior to joining Equitix, he worked for a number of other leading UK-based infrastructure developers and investors, including Amber Infrastructure and John Laing, with interests in various markets including the UK, Europe, Australia and the USA. During that time he worked on a number of high-profile European projects, including the London Underground PPP, the A15 in the Netherlands, the M6 Motorway in Hungary and the A1 Motorway in Poland and has served in various roles including adviser, bid director and investment principal. He started his career as a project finance lawyer with a City of London law firm before transitioning to the development side of project finance with the concessions arm of Bechtel Corp. He also spent some time in the public sector with two years at the Strategic Rail Authority, a central government infrastructure procurement body focused on the UK rail sector. He has a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering from Queen’s University of Belfast and is a qualified solicitor.
