As a managing director in the Investment team Rebecca leads the origination and execution of infrastructure investments across all Equitix funds. She is a member of the pre-screening committee which analyses opportunities before submission to the fund investment committee and also serves as a board director on a number of Equitix’s investments. Rebecca has 20 years’ experience across a broad spectrum of the project finance and infrastructure sectors including renewable power, network utilities, social infrastructure and transport. Since joining Equitix she has played a major role closing transactions across our various sectors, including the Greater Gabbard and Gwyt y Môr OFTOs, Full Circle Power EfW plant in Belfast, the acquisition of various anaerobic digestion plants, the Stellar portfolio of purpose built student accommodation, Tilbury Green Power Biomass plant, and Grain Connect fibre co. Rebecca joined Equitix in November 2011 from the Lead Advisory team at Ernst & Young LLP where she advised Ofgem on the establishment of the OFTO competitive tender process, led teams on a number of sell-side M&A mandates in the airports sector (including the privatisation of Leeds Bradford Airport), and advised government bodies and private sector bidding consortia on PFI/PPP transactions across a range of sectors including transport (M25), health and education. Prior to joining Ernst & Young, Rebecca worked for Arthur Andersen in the Specialist Finance & Business Modelling Group and Public Sector Audit. Rebecca is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (FCPFA), has a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Research Methodologies and holds a BA (Hons) in Politics & Government from the University of Kent at Canterbury.
