Amanda Leness is a Managing Director in Asset Management. In addition to serving on the boards some of the larger assets in the transport sector, she chairs the departmental risk committee and is steering continuous improvement of internal processes to ensure the department is fit for continued rapid growth. Amanda is committed to fostering a shared sense of purpose and making the most of the team’s varied professional backgrounds to drive value across the increasing range of geographies and sectors where Equitix is active. She has been instrumental in delivering the sector focus that channels Equitix’s active asset management, and in improving and embedding processes to on-board new assets and portfolio, monitor and foster their performance and communicate results. In her board roles, she contributes to the strategies, stakeholder planning and commercial decisions that enable good governance and delivery for end users as well as stable financial returns in both the assets where she holds board seats and supporting team members in their roles. Amanda has over 25 years’ experience in the project finance of which over 15 have been in UK rail. Before joining Equitix in 2018, she worked independently as an adviser and also through EY and started her project finance career with the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank. Amanda holds a masters degrees from London Business School and the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (economics) and her undergraduate degree is from Harvard.
